I can honestly say at the start of the season I thought we would get 8th. Then despite this bad patch, I thought at least we would get 10th.
Bad times!

A club of our size should expect to finish between 7th and 10th. Any lower than that has to be seen as relative failure.
However, all those knowledgeable pundits tell me that BFS did a great job. So I must be wrong and that anything above 17th is a great achievement for us.

The second half of the season the year we lost in the Cup Winners Cup Final was desperate.
Top of the league in November, finished 18th.
We seemed to lose practically every game except the European ties.

12th is a big let down considering where we were at Christmas. I would have expected a top half finish. Disappointment not to end with a positive goal difference.

Its all in the past now. Sam will be shown the door and then we can rebuild and hopefully get a good stab at next season.
